kirakira

standstill world
but for the gleaming waters
and you can hear
light coming to life

peachy sunshine
swept about by moving liquid
smooth shimmering
twinkling sweet and crisp
kirakira
they sing
laughing away
jostling joyously

As someone who can speak a bit of Japanese, some of its words come naturally. So when I saw the glittering waters, I immediately thought ‘kirakira‘. (By the way, the book ‘kira-kira’ was pretty good. I’d give it a solid 7.5 out of ten.)

If I’m not wrong, it means ‘glittering’ or ‘sparkling’. I think it might be a sound effect. Yep.
